Warning! You’re Being Had!

It never ends. You know how bad High Fructose Corn Syrup is and how we have been blindsided by clever marketing into thinking HFCS is a healthy sweetener.

Well once again we are being blindsided by the clever marketing of a new so called “natural” sweetener implying it is a safe substitute for High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Science has proven conclusively that High Fructose Corn Syrup is a major cause of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease because of its 56% high fructose content.

This new so called “natural” sweetener is from the agave plant. Ferment it and you have Mexico’s favorite alcoholic beverage — tequila.

Blue agave, agave “syrup”, or agave “nectar”, is nothing more than a laboratory generated super-condensed fructose syrup devoid of all nutrient value and offering metabolic misfortune.

Agave syrup is much worse than the High Fructose Corn Syrup it’s replacing.

It has the highest fructose content of any commercial sweetener —- 70% to 97% depending on the brand.

Your body burns glucose for energy, not fructose. Nearly all of the fructose is broken down by your liver and directly converted to dangerous fats, not energy.

This is why fructose is the leading cause of obesity.

It is important to understand that fructose from fruits and vegetables are a completely different animal.

Natural fructose contains fiber, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, whereas fructose sweeteners have no nutritional value at all.

Here are some more menacing facts about synthetic fructose like HFCS:

Fructose elevates your uric acid level. This is more dangerous than elevated cholesterol levels as it causes chronic low-level inflammation increasing your risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer, arthritis and premature aging.

Fructose “tricks” your body into gaining weight by fooling your metabolism. It actually impairs your body’s normal appetite-control system.

Excessive fructose decreases HDL, increases LDL levels, elevates triglycerides, elevates blood sugar, and raises your blood pressure. This is classic metabolic syndrome.

Let me be clear that small amounts of fructose are not the problem, it is excess fructose, over 25 grams per day, that is the problem, and the average person consumes at least 70 grams of fructose per day.

Despite manufacturer’s claims, agave syrup is not made from the sap of the agave plant as is maple syrup. Agave syrup is made from the starch of its pineapple like root bulb.

The root is comprised mainly of starch, similar to corn, and a complex carbohydrate called inulin, which is made up of fructose molecules.

The process in which the starch and inulin are converted into agave syrup it very similar to the way cornstarch is converted to High Fructose Corn Syrup.

The process uses genetically modified enzymes and is chemically intensive involving caustic acids, clarifiers, and filtration chemicals.

Here is a partial list of the chemicals involved:

Activated charcoal

Cationic and ionic resins

Sulfuric and/or hydrofluoric acid

Dicalite

Clarimex

Inulin enzymes

Fructozyme

The public has been deceived into thinking that agave syrup comes from the pure sap of the agave plant just like maple syrup comes from the sap of the maple tree.

The result of this deception is the strong growth of sales of agave syrup to the public, bakers, and food processors.

This deception needs to be exposed and the purchase of agave syrup by consumers and food companies needs to be stopped or the health of millions of people will go down the drain.

Personally, we too were deceived. We bought agave syrup thinking it was a safe substitute for maple syrup and other sweeteners as we do not use any products containing High Fructose Corn Syrup.

When we uncovered the fraud, we dumped our agave syrup down the drain, as should you.

We all need to help protect the health of our families, friends, and neighbors. Pass on this information because when it comes to health, we need to help ourselves.

Don’t look to our government, FDA, USDA, or medical doctors for help.

Unfortunately, the very people who should be helping us, are the very ones who are causing the greatest damage to our health.

You need to take charge of your own health. Don’t buy products containing High Fructose Corn Syrup and do not buy agave syrups or any products containing agave syrups.

Our only defense is to boycott those food processors as their only goal is to make money and could care less if they poison our bodies along the way.

The only way to beat them is by withholding our dollars. It catches their attention in a hurry, making them sit up and listen.

For a long time I have been warning you about the dangers to your health of ingesting High Fructose Corn Syrup.

More and more studies have proven the folly of consuming products that contain HFCS to the extent that some of our major food processors are finally paying attention and switching away from HFCS as their sweetener of choice.

Pepsi-Cola being one of them. But, if they switch to agave syrup, we will be worse off when using their products. I use Pepsi-Cola as an example but no one should be drinking soda! Period!

To your good heath & longevity.

Every morning some 50 million people pop a low dosage aspirin in their mouths with the hope that it will prevent them from getting a heart attack or stroke.

For many, taking an aspirin is a no brainer, a simple way to protect against cardiovascular disease.

The problem is that aspirin causes many uncomfortable and possibly dangerous side effects.

In addition, a little known phenomenon called aspirin resistance means that, for some people, aspirin provides no protection at all.

There is no single laboratory test for aspirin resistance and the estimates of how many people are aspirin resistant vary widely from as low as 5.5% to as high as 60% according to a recent study in Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Aspirin belongs to a class of drugs called “nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs” NSAIDs.

They work by inhibiting the enzymes that make prostaglandins, chemicals that promote inflammation, pain and fever, and are necessary for blood clotting.

People often think of aspirin as a completely benign substance.

It is not.

Here are some of its side effects which may surprise you:

Gastrointestinal bleeding. In the US, about 103,000 hospitalizations and 16,500 deaths occur every year from gastrointestinal bleeding related to NSAIDs, including aspirin.

Dyspepsia. This condition, which is characterized by pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen, is reported by 12% of users of aspirin and other NSAIDs.

Gastroduodenal lesions. In a study of arthritic patients taking NSAIDs for pain, 30% developed painful gastroduodenal lesions or sores in the stomach and/or small intestine.

Cataracts. Prolonged aspirin use can increase risk for cataracts (hardening and clouding of the lens of the eye) by 55%, according to a study in Ophthalmology.

NSAIDs can also interfere with the treatment of high blood pressure.

NSAIDs are among the most commonly used drugs for osteoarthritis and other painful conditions.

“Traditional” NSAIDs are a central part of pain management and include Advil, Medipren, Motrin, Nuprin, Aleve, Anaprox, Naprosyn, and COX-2 inhibitors such as Celebrex. All of these agents have potentially serious side effects.

NSAIDs can cause gastrointestinal toxicity and life-threatening gastrointestinal hemorrhage.

More recently, it was discovered that COX-2 inhibitors such as Celebrex increase the risk of heart attacks, and the Food and Drug Administration now considers “traditional” NSAIDs such as ibuprofen also capable of increasing heart attacks.

NSAIDs also can worsen heart failure and can cause kidney disease in susceptible people.

As to high blood pressure, many studies have found that NSAIDs increase blood pressure in people who already have hypertension. In some cases, blood pressure is extremely difficult to control in the presence of NSAIDs.

Do NSAIDs interact with all antihypertensive drugs?

The answer is yes, but there may be some differences.

Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors), angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) and diuretics appear to be particularly susceptible to the effects of NSAIDs.

Although some evidence suggests that calcium channel blockers (such as verapamil and diltiazem) are not affected as much as ACE inhibitors, ARBs and diuretics, people who use antihypertensives should assume that all blood pressure lowering drugs interact with NSAIDs.

What Big Pharma Doesn’t Want YOU To Know

The war on cholesterol by Big Pharma and the Main Stream Medical Profession is being successfully orchestrated through misinformation and twisted truths mainly by the marketing divisions of Big Pharma.

Clearly with science taking a back seat, marketing’s main objective is Big Dollars and Be Damned with Good Health and Lives.

Understand that Big Pharma doesn’t want you to know what you are about to read.

Before reading the informative excerpt on cholesterol from the book: “Lipitor, Thief of Memory”, by Graveline and Richardson, ask yourself this question: If Big Pharma and the Medical Profession are so right about cholesterol, statin, beta-blockers and blood thinner drugs, why is heart disease STILL the number one killer?

Excerpt:

“There is no doubt that the present notoriety of cholesterol has all but obscured its physiological importance and necessity in our bodies. Cholesterol is not only the most common organic molecule in our brain, it is also distributed intimately throughout our entire body. It is an essential constituent of the membrane surrounding every cell. The presence of cholesterol in this fatty double layer of the cell wall membrane adjusts the fluid level and rigidity the proper value for both cell stability and function. Not all that bad for a substance so maligned in today’s media world that we can use the word to frighten small children.

Children take heed for without cholesterol they would not even be here. Cholesterol, a steroid in its chemical structure, is metabolized into other essential body steroids known as the steroid hormones and is therefore the sole substrate within our bodies for the formation of the very powerful chemicals that determine our sexuality, control the reproductive process and make possible our very existence. This same substance that society has been taught to fear happens to be our sole source for androgen, estrogen and progesterone. Researchers marvel at the remarkable similarity in chemical structure these sex hormones have with each other and with the original cholesterol parent from which they were derived. One might say the glaring family resemblance attests to the mighty power of a methyl group here and a carboxyl group there. The destiny of us all is marvelously controlled by such seemingly minor changes.

This same notorious cholesterol substance is also the parent of a pair of steroid hormones called aldosterone and cortisol. They are of adrenal origin and we could not exist without them. Aldosterone protects the body from excessive loss of sodium and water and is known in scientific circles as a mineralocorticoid. It is absolutely vital for life. Without an adequate supply of aldosterone we would be like an ill-prepared desert traveler destined to die of thirst and dehydration under the glaring rays of a merciless sun as water and salt escape from his body. Cortisol is known as a glucocorticoid because of its effect on glucose metabolism, but it also has powerful mineralocorticoid and immune system functions and is fundamentally involved in the biologic response to the stress in our lives. Both of these vital substances are created in the cortex, the outer shell of the adrenal glands. When the adrenal cortex is destroyed by accident, surgery or disease, death is inevitable within days unless another source of aldosterone and cortisol can be substituted. Like the sex hormones mentioned above, there can be no aldosterone or cortisol unless an adequate supply of the parent substance, cholesterol, is available. So much of our life is dependent on this remarkable substance.

And where would we be without calcitrol? Another offspring of cholesterol, this remarkable steroid hormone is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the proper level of calcium in our bodies. Just as sodium must be maintained at proper levels for us to function, so must serum calcium be maintained within a very narrow range. Without calcitrol the calcium we ingest would pass through our bowels unclaimed. The calcium in our teeth and bones would be rapidly depleted, leading to advanced osteoporosis, skeletal weakness and fractures. The interference with nerve transmission to our muscles would result in a hyper-excitable state. We have all seen cartoons and movies where a doctor gets an exaggerated knee jerk response while checking a patient’s reflexes. In a state of sufficiently low serum calcium there could result not only brisk reflexes but massive seizures of muscles, incompatible with life, in a condition known as generalized tetany. Such is the power of a simple element like calcium on our bodies if homeostatic levels are violated. These observations reflect the labyrinthine complexity of physiologic inter-relationships as more and more of nature’s secrets are discovered. As we refine our research techniques and our microscopes probe ever more deeply into the molecular chemistry of cholesterol, we discover far more mystery, puzzles and questions than we find answers.

Again, cholesterol is the basis of all these steroid hormones without which life, as we know it, would not be possible. But, by no means is the list of cholesterol’s contributions to body function exhausted, for there is another class of cholesterol’s steroid offspring without which our metabolic well-being might be in serious jeopardy: the production of bile acids. Secreted by the liver and stored in the gall bladder these steroids make it possible for us to emulsify fats and other nutrients enabling them to be digested and absorbed as food. In the absence of sufficient bile acids we would all be like those unfortunate souls whose intestinal villi are rudimentary or deficient, which causes them to produce voluminous stools of undigested material while they slowly starve.

The pharmaceutical industry would lead us to believe that rapidly bottoming out our natural cholesterol levels through the use of their highly touted statin drugs is a relatively innocuous process of definite benefit to society. But as we learn more each day of this ubiquitous and unique substance, we must question the veracity of their medical advisors. Cholesterol is perhaps the most important substance in our lives. Researchers everywhere are learning how extraordinarily complex and often surprising are the pathways that produce and metabolize cholesterol in our bodies. Admittedly, even after decades of study of this remarkable chemical, we still have much to learn.

On 9 November 2001 a research news release from the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science announced to the world the discovery of the identity of the elusive synaptogenic factor responsible for the development of highly specialized contact sites between adjacent neurons in the brain known as synapses. For years the nature of this magic ingredient had been sought. Not surprisingly to specialists in the field, the synaptogenic factor finally was shown to be the notorious substance cholesterol!

The so-called glial cells of the brain, long suspected of providing certain housekeeping functions, were shown to produce their own supply of cholesterol for the specific purpose of providing nerve cells with this vital synaptic component. As many of you may know, the neuronal synapse of the nervous system is the basis of neurotransmission connecting the brain with the rest of the body. The brain cannot tap the cholesterol supply in the blood, since the lipoproteins that mediate the transport of cholesterol, including both LDL and HDL, are too large to pass the blood-brain barrier, explains Dr. Frank Pfrieger,1 leader of a research group which also included the National Center for Scientific Research in Strasbourg, France. The brain must depend upon its own cholesterol synthesis, which the glial cells provide.

This should be sobering news for those in the pharmaceutical industry developing drugs, which interfere with cholesterol biosynthesis, the mechanism of action of the newer statins. One wonders how anyone knowing the mechanism of brain cholesterol synthesis can seriously challenge the inevitability of cognitive side effects from statin drug use. The only surprise is that there are not more reported cases of memory impairment, amnesia, confusion and disorientation. But even that, we suspect, is due to the almost complete lack of physician awareness of the possibility of cognitive impairment from the statin class of drugs. When confronted with these complaints by an anxious patient on a statin drug, he almost always reassures them that they are older now and should expect senior moments, early senility or perhaps a touch of Alzheimers.

This strikingly positive information about cholesterol is heady stuff, indeed, for a substance with such a bad press. When and if the industry finally vindicates cholesterol, it will not be unlike posthumously elevating Al Capone to knighthood.

Despite the glowing reports statin drugs receive in the press for their risk reduction in stroke and heart attack, strong evidence exists that they do so independently of cholesterol manipulation despite the past 35 years of vilification of this substance. Ravnskov summarizes that statin drug therapy is reported to be almost as effective for women as for men despite the fact that most studies have shown cholesterol not to be a significant risk factor for women. Additionally the elderly are protected just as much as younger individuals, although all studies have shown that cholesterol is only a weak risk factor, if at all, for men older than fifty. Another result mitigating against a cholesterol explanation for statin effectiveness is the consistent observation that strokes are reduced after statin therapy even though high cholesterol is known as only a weak risk factor for stroke, if indeed it is a risk factor at all. Further burying a possible cholesterol effect mechanism for statins is the fact that they protect regardless of whether the patient’s cholesterol is high or low.

Clearly mechanisms other than cholesterol change must be invoked to explain statin drug effectiveness in strokes and heart attacks. Possibilities include such anti-inflammatory action as platelet inhibition and smooth muscle blockage but this paradoxical action of the statin drugs still remains to be explained. Meanwhile the war against cholesterol continues unabated apparently oblivious to the fact that scientific justification for such steadfast focus has all but vanished. As McCully has firmly established, homocysteine elevation and subtle vitamin deficiency states now are taking center stage as factors intrinsic to the development of arteriosclerosis. The role of cholesterol is now seen to be rather a passive one, dragged into a plaque only in its toxic, oxidized form quite alien to the natural substance making up so much of our brain.

More and more research results are accumulating that argue against the merits of excessively low cholesterol in the public at large. The lower the better for serum cholesterol no longer seems to be a valid statement. Certainly this seems to be the case for the cognitive side effects, which Doctor Beatrice Golomb reports are far more common when cholesterol values plummet. Paul Rosch, well-known researcher and spokesman for the scientific community, cites recent disquieting evidence from statin studies on animals that there is a carcinogenic consequence of artificially low cholesterol and a personal conviction that such findings may well become evident in humans after sufficient follow-up time. We can be certain only that we do not yet know the long-term consequences of artificially lowered serum cholesterol through the use of statin drugs. In light of current evidence, for most of us, our present almost day-to-day preoccupation with serum cholesterol values appears misguided.

If cholesterol is our enemy, it is a strange enemy, indeed, for without abundant and immediate cholesterol reserves in our bodies, life is impossible. Our true enemy is arteriosclerosis, the product of other nutritional factors, hypertension, diabetes, smoking and increasing sedentary existence. The end result of this process is plaque formation with inflammation, ulceration and thrombus formation. Cholesterol can be drawn passively into this process but even in the absence of cholesterol elevation, the process continues. C-reactive protein, the product of this inflammatory and ulcerative process, not cholesterol, now is recognized by all to be our most consistently accurate predictor of strokes and heart attacks to come.

Although this information is now common knowledge among those researchers in the field, the overwhelming majority of practicing physicians and lay public still regard cholesterol as public health enemy #1 – such is the effect of thirty-five years of a powerful but misdirected war against fat and cholesterol in our national diet. Truly, much work remains to be done in the field of public health education for cholesterol is not our enemy, it is our indispensable friend! Remember – you cannot live without it!”

By Duane Doc Graveline, M.D.

Most people don’t want to hear that cholesterol is not the cause of their problem. Their expert doctor, and the expert drug company television, newspaper and magazine advertising told them that it was, and who should know better then them?

It amazes me that with all that their doctor tells them and with all that advertising assuring them that cholesterol control is the answer to heart disease, they don’t stop and ask themselves…

“If what my doctor and the drug companies say is really true, then why is heart disease still our number one killer?”

Actually the answer is simple.

The three major causes of heart disease are not curable by drugs, stents or bi-pass surgery. These three major causes of heart disease are easily cured by nutrition.

Big Pharma can’t patent nutrition and that means no money, they can only patent drugs, which mean big money. Their Billions come from selling you, and keeping you, on drugs.

Big Pharma wants you on drugs the rest of your life and if you are on drugs, then you must be constantly monitored by a doctor. Nice cozy money making relationship.

Besides, the main stream medical profession hasn’t got a clue when you start talking about nutrition and honestly believe that drugs and surgery are the only way to go. Don’t believe me? Go ask your cardiologist about curing arterial (heart) disease with nutritional supplements and he/she will laugh at you. No money prescribing nutritional supplements, but drugs and surgery make him/her rich.

People and organizations like NC Research Associates, who have demonstrated through digital infrared thermal imaging that the nutritional supplement GHS Plus™, not drugs, dissolves arterial plaque reversing and preventing heart disease, are totally ignored by the medical profession and are vilified by Big Pharma.

Although GHS Plus™ lowers your cholesterol as part of nutritional balancing in your body, it cannot lower cholesterol like statin drugs do, nor would we want it to.

GHS Plus™ lowers your homocysteine and C-reactive protein levels and protects you from the effects of free radical damage to your arterial walls, the real causes of heart disease, which statin drugs cannot do.

Also, did you know that when you get rid of your arterial plaque you usually lower your blood pressure as well?

Also, listen to a Health Matters Minutes podcast titled Your Cholesterol…Friend or Foe? to discover the shocking truth your main stream medical doctor and the big drug companies don’t want you to know about.

How many times have you heard a story about a person who just had a medical checkup and was declared 100% healthy and suddenly died from a heart attack or stroke?

And in shock you wondered why?

They died because of a growing epidemic called the “silent killer” known as blocked arteries which is considered the leading cause of coronary heart disease with symptoms ranging from high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), blood clots, atherosclerosis to shortness of breath and fatigue.

Arterial blockages from plaque build-up, in areas such as your carotid artery, can unfortunately start at an early age such as your teenage years.

Statistically 13 million Americans, if not more, have some form of heart disease. In addition, it is estimated that…annually 1 million Americans have a heart attack with almost 50% of the victims resulting in a fatal outcome.

The leading cause of blocked arteries is an unhealthy lifestyle and when your arteries become clogged your blood flow and oxygen to your heart, as well as all other organs in your body such as your brain (which can cause a stroke), are restricted.

You can live an active lifestyle and prevent your risk of blocked arteries by recognizing the symptoms to avoid painful alternatives such as coronary bypass surgery, angioplasty, side-effect causing statin and cholesterol lowering drugs and drug therapy treatments if at all possible.

Prevention of blocked or narrowed arteries can include:

Controlling your blood pressure….

Checking your C-Reactive protein and homocysteine levels…

Checking for Type II diabetes which is closely related to lifestyle issues…

Stop smoking which is a major risk to coronary artery disease…

Controlling your fat percentage and maintaining a healthy weight…

Eating healthy and organic foods and avoid processed foods…

Implementing an exercise program that meets your needs…

Managing your stress levels by practicing deep breathing and muscle relaxation…

Taking quality nutritional supplements to provide your body with the nutrients it need to help heal itself and prevent disease…

The bottom line to avoiding blocked arteries is to take a proactive stand to your over all total health program.

The alternative solutions are easy to implement without taking drastic steps if you just take the time to educate yourself because you don’t what to be a statistic or to die early because you thought you were healthy and didn’t avoid the “silent killer”.

To your good heath & longevity.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is not a disease we catch. It is a disease we develop, mostly as a result of poor lifestyle habits regarding food, drink, and lack of exercise.

Of the millions of people who have HBP, about a third have no idea they have the problem, as they either do not have symptoms or do not recognize the symptoms they have. Only a blood pressure test will confirm whether or not they have HBP.

If you do have HBP, then the major causes such as; clogged arteries, congestive heart failure, diabetes, kidney disease, over indulgence in alcohol (regularly more than one or two drinks a day), and certain food allergies need to be explored.

If food allergies are the cause, then the major culprits are…usually the nightshade vegetables. Nightshades are potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant and peppers including paprika, cayenne pepper, tobasco sauce, papinos, and pimentos.

The problem with the nightshade plants is that they contain solanine. In large amounts, solanine is toxic. It can affect heart rate and blood pressure. It can also cause drowsiness and sweating. In smaller amounts solanine can cause headache, nausea, and a gastrointestinal upset that can last several days.

Green tomatoes and the green “eyes” and green skin of potatoes contain the most solanine. In potatoes, solanine is created when a harvested crop is exposed to light. Light stimulates the production of chlorophyll. Solanine is a byproduct of this process. Solanine can be avoided in potatoes by simply paring away the “eyes” and green skin if any.

High blood pressure is not to be scoffed at. It is a serious condition.

Most traditional doctors will tell you that HBP is not curable. Your blood pressure will come down when you take the medication they prescribe and will go right back up again when you stop taking these drugs — unless you change your lifestyle, which most doctors will not tell you about.

It is just not in their training to take a nutritional route to cure you of HBP.

According to statistics, high blood pressure, also called hypertension, is the most common cardiovascular disease in the world today. It affects more than 20% of the adult population worldwide. That is a huge number.

When left uncontrolled and untreated, HBP could lead to several major health problems including stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure.

High blood pressure is the number one cause of stroke.

More than 80% of people with HBP are likely to have a stroke.

More than 70% of people with HBP are likely to have a heart attack.

Nearly 75% of people with HBP are likely to have congestive heart failure.

At a time when we had fewer heart attacks and strokes and less blood pressure medication then we do today, the accepted threshold blood pressure measurement was 140/80.

Now that we have more heart attacks and strokes, and the drug companies have more BP drugs to sell that make them billions of dollars, the medical profession obligingly lowered the threshold to 120 so they can get more people on to BP medication and everybody makes more money except you and me.

As scary as this may sound, for the vast majority, to make the problem go away, all you need to do is start eating a healthy diet.

No soda or power drinks. Moderate alcohol intake. No fast foods or processed foods. Minimize your sugar intake. Drink lots of pure water. Filter your tap water if you wish but do not drink bottled water. Eat as much organic as you can.

Eat at least 50% raw food, lightly steamed vegetables, whole grains, fish, some chicken, and some lean beef. Lots of raw mixed greens and fruits and take good nutritional supplements. Start a regular exercise program.

Follow this advice and you are guaranteed to have a healthy body with your weight under control.

To your good heath & longevity.

A lot of women are under the impression that the risk of heart disease is higher for men. But it is not so. Women are more vulnerable than men when it comes to heart disease.

Due to this misconception, while having a heart attack, women tend to react differently than men. They tend to delay emergency treatment as they find it hard to believe that they are having a heart attack.

If you are a woman, there are some very important things you should know about heart problems and what you should do in case of an emergency.

Studies show that women, on average, are about ten years older than men when they have a heart attack. What this means is that…they are likely to have several other health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, and congestive heart failure.

In other words, a heart attack, for a woman, is a lot more serious problem than it is for a man. So, it is very important for women to seek emergency treatment as quickly as possible in case of a heart attack.

The symptoms and causes of a heart attack are something that everyone should be aware of. Heart disease is the number one killer of people across the country today and it is true even more so in the case of women.

More women die of heart disease than do men. The following symptoms should be taken very seriously.

Classic Symptoms of a Heart Attack:

Squeezing chest pain or pressure; Shortness of breath; Sweating; Tightness in chest; Pain spreading to shoulders; neck or arm; Feeling of heartburn or indigestion with or without nausea and vomiting; Sudden dizziness or brief loss of consciousness.

Symptoms More Likely in Women:

Indigestion or gas-like pain; Dizziness, unexplained lightheadedness, possible blackouts. nausea or vomiting; Unexplained weakness, fatigue; Discomfort/pain between shoulder blades; Recurring chest discomfort; Anxiety–unusual nervousness, sense of impending doom; Fluttering–rapid heartbeats, palpitations; Feeling of heaviness, such as pressure-like chest pain between the breasts that may radiate to the left arm or shoulder.

In the year 1900 the cause of death from heart attacks were less than 8%. Today, heart attacks are the leading cause of death at 45%.

One of the main factors that will initiate a heart attack is the buildup of abnormal plaque, in the arteries, plaque that gradually hardens through calcification. Blockage most often occurs in the large arteries feeding the heart or the brain.

Inflammation (C-reactive protein) will usually also cause blockages. In fact, a new view of coronary artery disease is that it is an inflammatory process, characterized by cycles of irritation, injury, healing and re-injury inside the blood vessels.

This inflammatory response is actually a defense mechanism that helps the body heal but when the inflammatory process goes awry, plaques may rupture, provoking clots that lead to heart attacks.

Lifestyle of bad eating habits, smoking, excess alcohol consumption, soft drink consumption and lack of exercise — which lead to diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity — are your major causes of plaque build-up and are leading causes of heart attacks.

It has been proven, however, that your risk of having a major heart attack can be minimized or eliminated—without the use of drugs—by lifestyle changes that will rid your body of inflammation and plaque build-up.

A healthy diet that will alkalize your body, drinking lots of good plain water, taking natural nutritional supplements, and exercising, will, within a few short months, bring your body back to a healthy state.

In conclusion: Until such time as your body is again in a healthy state, we offer the following caution.

If you are experiencing symptoms that could be signaling a heart attack or if you see someone else with these symptoms, call 9-1-1 immediately and summon an ambulance.

Do not attempt to drive yourself as only paramedics and trained fire department personnel have the necessary equipment to revive you if your heart has stopped beating.

If she or he stops breathing, start CPR.

Above all, get to the hospital as quickly as possible because the longer a heart attack goes untreated, the more badly damaged your heart will be.

To your good heath & longevity.

When your heart can’t pump enough blood throughout your body you can suffer from congestive heart failure.

To avoid the debilitating effects of congestive heart failure is to recognize the warning signs which can include swelling of the legs and ankles called edema, painful fluid buildup and retention in the lungs causing shortness of breath as well as high blood pressure.

As far back as 2002 in the United States there were an estimated 5 million congestive heart failure patients, not to mention that one-fifth of people age 40 and over where at risk of heart failure. Plus, according to the American Heart Association chronic heart disease and heart attack/stroke are still the number one and number three causes of death.

When your heart muscle can’t function properly because of coronary artery blockage, restricted blood vessels, plaque clogged arteries, heart value or cardiac and pulmonary problems your blood flow slows through the heart causing the blood to backup causing congestion in your tissues making you tired and weak.

Even though congestive heart failure (CHF) is a major cause of pain and death there are several ways to improve your quality of life such as stop smoking, reaching and managing a healthy weight, plan out a regular exercise program, avoid alcohol and structuring a healthy diet and eating plan.

The advancements in congestive heart failure therapy and research can range from the simple to the extreme.

Obviously drug companies have been working hard to promote various drug options which unfortunately tend to mask symptoms and can cause numerous side-effects.

One possible alternative is to look into natural ways to directly address the various causes of congestive heart failure.

If you are seeking an all-natural solution that can target your high blood pressure, improve blood flow and dilate arteries you should look into a multi-vitamin and mineral arterial cleansing formula.

With a proven nutritional solution you can improve blood flow to increase nutrient and oxygen supply to all the cells as well as:

Repair arterial wall damage

Minimize the real risk of heart attack or stroke

Remove daily toxins from the body

Dilate arteries for increased blood flow which can help to lower high blood pressure

Strengthen the immune system thus reducing inflammation to avoid deadly chronic disease

Create the body’s own CoQ10 to improve heart function

Make blood more slippery for less clumping

Boost energy levels to help lose weight and enjoy a more active lifestyle

Increase antioxidant protection

Avoid new plaque build-up from forming to proactively avoid heart attack or stroke

Naturally dissolve small blood clots floating in your blood

Lower C-Reactive Protein, homocysteine, cholesterol and blood pressure levels

So when looking for an all-natural solution find an arterial cleansing formula with a precise combination of nutrients and quantities that work together in close harmony to help your body function at an optimum level while naturally eliminating plaque build up in your arteries.

To your good heath & longevity.
