Medical Versus Alternative Breakthroughs
Researchers and scientists throughout the world are constantly working to unlock the secrets of the human body to find ways to save and prolong life — and to improve the quality of life as well.
New discoveries occur so fast, it is hard to keep up with them.
Within the medical community you will find doctors who follow a nutritional path to healing and doctors who maintain that there is no scientific evidence that alternative treatments are successful.
Unfortunately, for the public, there are more researchers and scientist working for big pharmaceutical companies than there are independent researchers.
It is clear from past and present evidence that big pharma is constantly seeking to make a quick buck which interferes with the truth. So— buyer beware!
It has been well documented by organizations such as OCA and Public Citizen that all too often medical doctors rely on what is told them by pharmaceutical reps, while others have no time to research alternatives.
That is why doctors don’t think that alternatives work.
Doctors don’t realize that today’s alternative treatments often become tomorrow’s standard treatment.
For example, information that doctors use today as a basis for prescribing omega-3 oils as a proven preventative for cardiovascular disease, and as a vital component for neurological development in the young, is the same information they ignored or rejected 30 years ago.
For most of that period doctors were ignorant of the research proving the value of omega-3 oils mainly because the major medical publications rebutted its worth.
Now they all sing its praises as a preventative.
The critical question never asked is, “How many people died or were crippled because of these physicians’ blindness and refusal to objectively examine the science?”
We hear a lot about “evidence-based medicine,” but just how much of traditional medical practice is evidence-based?
Studies have shown that as little as 30% is backed by science.
Since most doctors basically rely on pharmaceutical reps for most or all of their new and current medical information, you can say that most medical practice is accomplished by the seat of their pants.
The term “evidence-based medicine” is a ploy to discredit all alternative treatments, since it implies that everything outside traditional medicine is not “evidence-based.” The reality is far different.
In fact, most alternative treatment has tremendous scientific evidence.
What they lack is large epidemiological studies since such studies are extremely expensive. These high priced studies are too often led by physicians with little knowledge of nutrition or by those who are paid by pharmaceutical companies to discredit their competitors which are often the “alternative” practitioners.
Studies have also shown that a number of articles appearing in some of the most prestigious and often-quoted journals have actually been completely written by scientists employed by pharmaceutical companies.
Respected physicians simply added their names to these articles as if they had written the articles themselves.
Fraud in science, and especially medicine, has become a major problem in the United States.
The practice of physicians adding their name to the bottom of an article written by someone else, in now prohibited, by law, in Great Britain.
Another example of physicians’ blindness and refusal to objectively examine and acknowledge the science—is the medical cure for breast and other cancers without the use of chemotherapy, radiation or surgery.
This blindness, and refusal to spend the time to discover the truth, will cost the lives of tens of thousands of women who die needlessly every year.
That cure can be found at: www.breastcancercured.com.
The pathway to good health is not via drugs, which mostly cover symptoms, and often have serious long term side effects. Some drugs interact with the food you eat in very negative ways. Examples below.
Possible Interaction Between Cranberry Products and Popular Blood-Thinner
For those of you who are taking the blood thinner Warfarin (COUMADIN), Public Citizen has issued a warning. Recent controlled studies have confirmed that people with certain genetic types were susceptible to increased blood-thinning effects of Warfarin (which can be very dangerous) when used with cranberry juice and other cranberry products.
If you are drinking cranberry juice, cranberries or other cranberry products, it is strongly recommended you have your blood more carefully monitored.
LOVAZA: Boxed Warning
LOVAZA, “a drug that is prescribed for lowering triglycerides, now has a boxed warning on its label. “At the approved dose of 4g/day, LOVAZA has been associated with increased levels of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and has not been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease or mortality.
This dose should only be used to reduce very high levels of triglycerides (more than 500 mg/dL), because such high levels of triglycerides increase the risk of pancreatitis.”
High Trigylcerides Are Generally Diet Related
Cause and effect: If the problem in not genetic, then the problem is nutritional.
When we eat a poor or deficient diet, all kinds of nasty things will happen to us.
Among other things, a deficiency in Omega 3 oil can easily cause an increase in our triglyceride level. Correct the deficiency and your triglycerides drop back to normal.
From research studies reported in Public Citizen, Vol. 15, No.4, it is recommended you eat oily fish twice a week and take 1 gram of omega 3 fish oil soft gel capsules per day.
For people needing to lower their triglycerides, or who have had coronary heart disease, 2 to 4 grams per day of EPA/DPA per day fish oil soft gel capsules is recommended.
Congestive Heart Failure
For myself, having had congestive heart failure some years ago, I take 3 grams of Omega 3 per day, along with other supplements, which helps me maintain my heart in peak condition.
CHF is huge in the US. Over 5 million people suffer from this disease which the medical profession still has no cure for.
Having overcome my CHF without the use of drugs, I would be happy to speak to anyone with CHF to tell them how I helped myself.
If you know of anyone with CHF who wants to help themselves, give them my phone number: 888-824-3745, I will be happy to tell them what I have done that gave me my life back.
To your good heath & longevity.

have you read thbook titled “THE CHINA STUDY” ?
PLEASE DO. IT WILL CONFIRM ALL YOU HAVE BEEN DOING AND SAYING FOR YEARS.
IF YOU FOLLOW WHAT IS RECOMMENDED, YOU WILL WANT TO RECMMEND ATOTALLY DIFFERENT DIETARY REGIME!
It will also blow you away and certainly help you make your program work better. The research in this book is excellent and the conclusion are evedince based (real evidence not big pharma controlled and influenced)
You need to know that in my case I followed your program for one year after a TIA and a repeat Angio CT showed no changes. I As I now understand it, this occured because my diet, which is the most important aspect of reversing cardio-vascular disease, was not changed sifficiently to make any difference. Also you supplements program does not honor the work of Linus Pauling and the likes of Dean Ornish.

Great to see your blog Ira and I was prompted to post a comment because of the Cancer Cure site you direct us to. Certainly makes a change to get such good news.
BTW I know the ADvaya tablets aren’t for high blood pressure but they have kept Celia and my ‘Get up and Go’ sufficiently ‘up’ to do so much hilly cycling over the past nine months that my blood pressure has gone from 200/something (I only ever take notice of the first figure)! to a recent reading of 117! That is amazing and the lowest reading I can ever remember as it’s been over 140 for many years! (I must have strong veins is all I can say)! I will do some posts on Twitter!
There are many areas where the truth is just not welcome but keep at it, I’m tackling the banks!
