Why FDA Set to Ban Your Supplements

NEWS ALERT… This from Dr. Mercola “The FDA has issued a proposed mandate that represents the greatest threat to dietary supplements since 1994. Back in the early 1990s, consumers were so alarmed by FDA bullying that they staged a massive revolt. The result was that Congress passed a law prohibiting the FDA from banning popular nutrients (as the agency had threatened to do).”

However, things about to chance if you don’t act now!

The FDA’s new Draft Guidance on New Dietary Ingredients threatens to remove some of your most commonly used supplements from the market.

Manufacturers of supplements will be forced to conduct expensive safety studies using absurdly high doses, which will force many out of business—effectively eliminating competition to high-priced pharmaceuticals.

The FDA guidelines have modeled the outrageous safety thresholds after those in place for food additives, which is in direct violation of DSHEA, which classifies dietary supplements as foods, not food additives, in order to protect consumer access to dietary supplements.

Defend your right to continue using supplements by taking action now!

Six Heart Disease Risks You Can Avoid

Incredibly, heart disease has become the number one cause of death with the result that someone in the United States suffers from a heart attack every 20 seconds and someone dyes from some form of heart disease every 34 seconds. Coronary heart and/or artery disease occurs when arterial plaque builds up inside the walls of the coronary arteries causing a blockage and restricting the flow of vital oxygen-rich blood throughout the heart.

When blood flow is restricted by a build-up of plaque, the resulting pressure, called angina or chest pain, can occur. When enough blood is cut off from the heart, a life-threatening heart attack can then occur. Some of the signs of this are  dizziness, nausea, abnormal heart beats and even shortness of breath.

Here are 6 of the top heart disease risks that can be avoided so that you can reduce your chance of developing chronic heart disease.

Which Wheatgrass Health Benefits Do YOU Want?

Corporate Farming vs. Organic in the Wheatgrass Benefits Debate

Corporate farming has inundated the food industry with genetically modified foods, pesticides and chemical fertilizers, growing crops that are being turned into processed foods with high amounts of chemical additives, forcing us to eat a synthetic diet devoid of nutritional value that our bodies have great difficulty processing.

A healthy solution is adding the benefits of wheatgrass to your daily diet because organic wheatgrass juice powder helps give you back all the vital vitamins and minerals which are very difficult to find in conventional foods today.

It’s a fact that the main component in wheatgrass powder is chlorophyll which is highly beneficial for your good health because it helps to cleanse and detoxify your body.

Every day your body is bombarded with a vast array of harmful chemicals, heavy metals and cancer-causing agents that causes premature aging, prevents healing and is harmful to the proper functioning of your entire body. Read the rest of this article »

The Truth About The Health of Americans Versus The New “MyPlate” Government Food Guidelines

New USDA MyPlate Food Guidelines Image

The new federal government’s evidence-based nutritional guidance to promote health, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and reduce the prevalence of overweight and obesity through improved nutrition and physical activity is a giant step forward with the new MyPlate from the Food Pyramid it has been promoting for the last five years which has been responsible for too much of the obesity and disease in our children and adults alike.

This shift has come about thanks to such organizations as Organic Consumers Organization, Center for Science in the Public Interest, and the Environmental Working Group, all in spite of the vast multi-million dollar lobbying campaign to protect the Food Pyramid by major food processing corporations.

Our government was forced to face the fact that more than one-third of children and more than two-thirds of adults in the United States were overweight or obese, and that we are the sickliest developed country in the world!

As a result, the 7th edition of Dietary Guidelines for Americans places stronger emphasis on reducing calorie consumption, placing a heavier emphasis on vegetables and fruits, and increasing physical activity. Read the rest of this article »

Play Golf and Get Cancer?

Although I am not a regular golfer, I still love the game.  Aside from playing, golf is my favorite spectator sport which is why, when I heard about the following report, I was mortified!

Experts are finding that golfers, even non-golfers who simply live near or on golf courses, are experiencing alarming increases in cancers of the brain, large intestine, liver, lung and prostate.

Are you one of the many people who always wanted to live next to a golf course?  Until golf courses change the way they take care of their greens and fairways, you are lucky you don’t.

In one recent study, by the University of Iowa, it was found that just working as a golf superintendent significantly increased the risk of developing one of these cancers and the risk of those actually maintaining the course, is even higher.

So what gives? According to some researchers, the culprit is 2,4-D —- one of the herbicides landscapers use to keep courses green and beautiful.

This weed killer was developed by a British research team at Rothamsted Experimental Station during World War II.  Their goal was to increase crop yields for a nation at war. Read the rest of this article »

Splenda and Degenerative Diseases…Will You Be A Victim?

Not all Sweetners are Sweet!

Consider the meaning of the term “degenerative disease”.

The body is breaking down, degenerating and consequently malfunctioning and falling apart.

When something is malfunctioning and falling apart, common sense would dictate the first place to look.

Look to the materials from which it is made.  If the materials from which something is built or made —- including living systems —- is of poor quality, there should be no surprise that malfunction and breakdown —- degeneration —- results.

Poor quality includes refined and junk food —- the wrong type of supplements made with synthetic cheap imitation vitamins and inorganic minerals, food that contains insufficient nutrients, toxic bleach, food additives, pesticides, preservatives, trans-fats, etc.
